• Early deals: Prime members can already shop early deals now on Amazon devices, Kindle, Amazon Haul, and Amazon Music.
• Alexa for Shopping: set deal alerts on specific products ("alert me to deals on espresso machines"), check 365-day price history on product pages, and optionally auto-buy when a target price hits.
• Discounted memberships: Prime for Young Adults (18–24) gets a 6-month $0 trial then $7.49/month or $69/year, plus stackable 5% cash back on eligible deals during the event. Prime Access is $6.99/month for qualifying government-assistance recipients.

How to prepare (do this before October 6)

2. Build your list. Add the products you actually want to your Amazon list or cart now, at today's prices. When the event starts, you'll see instantly what's actually discounted versus what's just labeled a "deal."
3. Set deal alerts. Use Alexa for Shopping or the Amazon app to set price alerts on your list items. You'll get notified when a real price drop hits.
4. Check price history. Amazon now shows up to 365 days of price history on product pages. A "40% off" badge means nothing if the price was inflated last week. The history tells the truth.
5. Know the drop times. The best stuff goes at midnight, 8 AM, and 1 PM PDT. Check back at each drop; deals are while supplies last.
6. Prioritize the categories Amazon flagged. Beauty, tech, kitchen, fashion, and home get the three-times-daily drops. Halloween items and early holiday toys are the seasonal focus. Buy the gifts you'll need anyway.
